NEW MENU AT LA TASCA SPANISH TAPAS BAR & RESTAURANT
New items to be added to old favorites
WASHINGTON, DC May 27, 2009— La Tasca Spanish Tapas Bar and Restaurant is switching up the tapas experience by adding new items to a newly designed menu. The menu will feature a new variety of Spanish favorites, a larger selection, and a new wine list as well. The new menu will be available at all five La Tasca locations in the greater DC area.
La Tasca is upgrading its presentation, with new china and modern dishes to add to the old Spanish charm. New menu items will include Salmon a la Plancha (fresh grilled salmon with sautéed spinach and fried mussels), Solomillo de Buey (grilled beef tenderloin, with mashed potatoes and a crumbled Cabrales sauce), and an Ensalada de Espinacas con Peras (spinach salad with fresh pear, dates and walnuts). The menu will be broken down into more sections that now will feature Breads and Olives and Starters.
For guests who are unfamiliar with the concept of tapas, the new menu explains it in “The Story of Tapas – The Spirit of Sharing,” with a background on tapas in Spain. Newcomers to tapas can also choose from one of three “Tapas Tasting Menus” which feature a selection of some of the most popular dishes to introduce you to the unique tapas experience.
The menu is being featured at all five area La Tasca locations by the end of May.
