DETAILS ABOUT EACH ORGANIZATION

NEA Foundation: The NEA Foundation is an independent, public charity supported by contributions from educators’ dues, corporate sponsors, and others who support public education initiatives. They partner with education unions, districts, and communities to create powerful, sustainable improvements in teaching and learning. The NEA Foundation, through the unique strength of its partnership with educators, advances student achievement by investing in public education that will prepare each of America’s children to learn and thrive in a rapidly changing world. For more information and to donate to the NEA Foundation directly, visit neafoundation.org

Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic Chapter: Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Foundation serves children who reside in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland and Northern Virginia. A wish fulfilled creates a memorable experience for a child fighting a life-threatening medical condition and gives him or her something positive to think about instead of medical treatments and hospital visits. For more information and to donate to Make-A-Wish® Mid-Atlantic directly, visit midatlantic.wish.org

Children’s National Medical Center: As your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Children’s National cares for more than 360,000 children every year, while seeking new and better ways to help children live long, healthy lives. From premature babies weighing just a few ounces to children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses, financial support of Children’s National helps provide the best care possible for young patients — regardless of their families’ ability to pay. *How The Tapas For Kids! Fundraiser Works: For each Tapas For Kids! Certificate that is used by a guest, the corresponding sales for that guest check will be totaled with all of the other checks over the 30 day period. After September 30th, 10% of the total sales generated through the fundraiser will be donated equally across the three beneficiaries. For any further questions, please fee free to contact us here.

Field Trip Drawing For Local Schools: On September 30th, La Tasca will conduct a drawing from received certificate entries. Five schools will be selected to recieve a complimentary field trip dining experience at La Tasca for up to 25 students. There will be no charge for the cost of food, beverages, tax and gratuity for the first 25 guests of the field trip. One local school will be selected in the vicinity of each of the five La Tasca locations to receive this prize. The five schools selected will be notified by La Tasca on November 1st, 2012 and the list will also be published on this page of our website at latascausa.com. Once selected, schools will coordinate arrangements directly with a member of La Tasca’s management team
